Full disc image of the sun taken with a Meade 12″ LX200R @f6.3 with a Canon 40D using a Baader Solar full aperture filter and a Baader Solar Continum filter.
Still images processed in Registax and tweaked in CS5. I found the best combination was to have a speed of iso 800 which allowed a shutter speed of 1/2000th of a second which helps capture detail through the intermittent seeing and with the wind too.
The wind was gaining strength while imaging this morning, fortunately the sides of the obsy took the brunt of the force.
Thanks for looking, Steve
