Following a bit of advice from my “Ample Astronomer” friend Ant, here’s a reprocess of one of the videos shot on the 15th July of sunspot AR1520. Â This has been stacked using AVStack 2.0, followed by a small amount of wavelet adjustment with Registax 6 and completed by a bit of tidying up with CS3.
AVStack has brought a significantly increased amount of detail from the video, the surface cell structure of the area surrounding AR1520 can be clearly seen, and there is more detail in the sunspot penumbra. Â I will need to try this again after a final tweak to the scopes collimation.
Scope: Â 12″ LX200R
Camera: Imaging Sorce. DMF
Thanks for looking,
Steve
