After all these years I’ve finally purchased PixInsight. Â It does seem to be a rather steep learning curve but definately starting to see some results. Â So here’s a reprocess of an NGC7000 image taken a couple of years ago in hydrogen alpha wavelengths, and below it the original process.

There is a greater contrast with the foreground dust, which separates the North American Nebula from the Pelican Nebula, and, in general, the PI image rework has picked out further faint nebulosity
