The wife, daughter and I managed to find this comet this evening between the clouds with my 15×70 binos, not quite a naked eye object from our location, but after a couple of frustrating minutes we realised it was behind a tree to our NW horizon. Managed a quick 15 second image on the 40D while it went between the trees.
The comet reached mag +1 at perihelion recently, but the atmospheric conditions make this assessment difficult from my site. Move your mouse over the image for some basic annotation.

Thanks for looking, Steve
